MASTERCARD AND MTN GROUP PARTNER TO ACCELERATE E-COMMERCE
Mastercard and MTN Group Fintech have signed a multi-market agreement that will set in motion a new era of collaboration from 2025.
The partnership is set to launch a prepaid virtual card tailored for MTN’s MoMo customers, granting them access to over 100 million acceptance points worldwide.
This will seamlessly enable global access for MoMo wallet users, empower Small and Medium enterprises with payment acceptance solutions and expand remittances solutions.

This is the breakthrough for Commerce in Africa we have been praying for, we are about to be connected to the world for the first time. This means that everyone on the streets will now be able to seamlessly do transactions like the developed world.
The added security and innovation that Mastercard brings will mean that People will be able to securely shop online and checkout.
We will be able to pay subscriptions like Apple Music, Spotify, Netflix and YouTube. In fact monetization will open up for all platforms and there’ll be a boom in every sector.
