WhatsApp now has an option to send video messages on WhatsApp,  the same way we do with audio messages. At the moment,  the option to  to instantly record   and send video messages is limited to a maximum of  60 seconds. Thus, WhatsApp allow you to share an instant 60-second video message in your chat. Note  that video messages  is different from sharing videos. With this option, you share the instant video directly in the chat.
Send a video message
  1. Open the chat you’d like to send a video message to.
  2. Tap 
     next to the text field to switch the icon from voice to video recording. Note: You can tap 
     to return to voice recording.
  3. Press and hold 
     to start recording.
  4. When finished, remove your finger from 
    . The message will automatically be sent.
Using lock mode
Lock mode allows you to record hands-free video messages.
To engage lock mode:
  1. Open the chat you’d like to send a video message to.
  2. Tap 
     next to the text field to switch the icon from voice to video recording.
  3. Press and hold 
    , then slide upward to lock hands-free recording.
  4. Tap 
     to send the message.
